Icelandic Fisheries, Seafood & Aqua Exhibition (IceFish) is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It was first held in 1984 and has evolved into a platform for all aspects of the commercial fisheries and seafood sector. You can meet us at stand G-80, right by the restaurant. Harvest Pre-conditioning system
We have developed a Harvest Pre-Conditioning System over a long period of time that contributes to higher quality of the final product for the customer. The process involves cooling down live fish using chilled clean seawater. This is done with a focus on fish welfare and proper handling of the raw material in the early stages. The system ensures easier cooling of larger fish, as the blood circulation in a live fish helps to better transport heat from the fish's core.
Super Chill-system
We have extensive experience with bleeding and cooling fish in HeliX tanks, and uses the Super Chill solution to achieve core temperatures of the fish below 0 °C. The system is similar to other HeliX systems, but it has a circulation system connected to a brine solution. This ensures a controlled supercooling effect and low temperature of the fish without crystallization.
